A good exercise for developing explosive power is 3–5 sets, not to failure. Ideally, at the end of a set, you feel you have the strength left for a few more reps. But you deliberately don't do them—you stop and switch hands. And so on for several sets.

This isn't pumping, grinding it out "to the last drop," which hurts snap and makes the body wooden. That's why it's so important here to know how not to burn out, so the body keeps its elasticity and the conductivity of the impulse...
