The alternative to a jump rope is jumping with dumbbells. That's when all the jump ropes in the gym are for people 170 cm and shorter, and your good speed rope is back in your city 😄
In my opinion, the alternative is pretty decent. You can also increase the weight of the dumbbells — there's no ceiling. The main thing is to jump for about 10-20 minutes. Accordingly, the weight of the dumbbells should be such that it's not too easy, but not impossible either.
The video was recorded in a Mexican gym, and there I liked to alternate this exercise with another — throwing arms with 3-5 kg dumbbells as an imitation of straight punches and uppercuts.
So, roughly one minute for the first exercise and one minute for the other. There's no rest between exercises, everything is done in a flow mode for a total of 10 rounds.
