on a new road · My Home Is the Road

Onward to a new journey. Across 1000 km of the state of Veracruz. I leave with a touch of sadness. I grew used to my neighbors, grew used to the guys at the boxing club, grew used to the friends I made here in Playa Del Carmen, grew used to all the gatherings I take part in from time to time, grew used to the city, the area, the whole atmosphere.

I feel like I've put down roots. Someday, perhaps, I'll settle here for longer. I liked this little town. But it's not even about the town. It's about the people – an unprecedented amount of warmth from every possible direction.

But now it's time. Onward to a new journey. Where once again I start everything from a blank slate. What has fate in store for me this time? Time will tell.
