Whoever strives for self-awareness in the only possible and only existing moment — here and now, and does so, truly walks the straight path of unveiling their divine nature.

We need very little to follow this path. We don't need money for it, nor conditions, we don't even need time for it — the eternal has no need of time, just as it has no need of special conditions.

And touching eternity, even for an instant — it's like an awakening micro-flash that, though small, still moves you forward. And the more such flashes happen to you throughout the day, the more inclined you become to keep doing it — it's a matter of inertia.

Just begin.

If you don't know where to start, start with this. Wake up from sleep while awake, disconnect from the wires of attachment to the tempting world of everyday life, detach from the habit of associating yourself with the physical body — you are not the body.

Look — from where do you observe what's happening in the outer world: from the eyes or from the inner eye. Which is primary?

Try living in this state, working, watching movies or socializing, eating, showering, using the toilet, going to the store, to a restaurant, to a yoga class. Do all the same things, but from the position of self-awareness or non-doing.

The tendency to remember who you are accumulates within you something that can be called free energy, which, once gathered into a cohesive structure, will begin to accumulate on its own, amplifying the already existing glow of awareness, which will continue to grow.

You only need to begin.

Those who work in an office, at a computer, in some ways might find it even harder than those who work physically. Physical labor, in my view, makes it easier to realize that you are not your body. Even ordinary mental work — say, as a history teacher — affects us differently than working at a computer. Because when you're in front of a computer all day, your attention shifts into your head, and the body gets forgotten. If you sit at the computer for 10-12 hours, as some IT folks do — and I do too sometimes, why hide it — the risk of dissolving into that virtual world and losing self-awareness is very high.

Digital reality is also part of nature, and it too can be understood precisely as nature — made by living people, who poured their creators' intention into it. But the complexity of these constructs makes them incomprehensible and distant to our perception. That is, until you learn to perceive it as just another part of the whole, like everything else in this world.

One way to avoid the negative influence of computer life on consciousness: dilute your computer work with physical exercise. Buy an expander, start squatting more often during the day, or do push-ups, or at least just stand up and stretch. Do this with full attentiveness, try in these short intervals of connecting with your body to truly feel it, sense that it's alive, bring your attention back into it.

The better you become at being aware of it, the better you'll understand that you are not it. That's the key. One of the keys.

Be attentive, and may your practices in everyday life be fruitful.
