love boxing

I love boxing. I love to box. Boxing has always been an art to me—one of the ways I express the love I share with this world. After a few years, it feels good to put the gloves back on. I don't know of any training more interesting than light, friendly sparring.

The gym I've been training at for the past three weeks, I've grown very fond of. I was lucky to meet wonderful people, and the gym is equipped with everything you need. Most importantly, there are hanging bags (my favorites). That day I had to work with just the front jab, and there were reasons for that.

The coaches here are really great; they occasionally invite you to work on pads themselves. They support you in every way, always upbeat and cheerful. I'm sure they love their work. And the guys—great people who warmly welcomed me into their friendly sports team. I managed to get along well with some of them.

For example, with Omar and Valmor—in these videos. And a few other guys who didn't make it into the frame.

Omar (in the first video), for instance, gave me his second pair of gloves—my deep gratitude to him for that. Now they are my artifact, my object of power, which I hope will bring me luck in my further wanderings. He also gave me a miracle ointment that really helps me with recovery. Much gratitude to this good, heartfelt Man.

And also to my coach—Vic, he's so good that, knowing the situation of Russian tourists, he himself offered to feed me burgers on a regular basis until it all blows over 😄

Sometimes I even feel awkward for having the honor of being surrounded by such worthy people. Thanks to them, I felt at home there. Now I really want to go back; I already miss it.

I hope to return there soon and continue training. For now, I'm looking for a new gym here in the city of Coatzacoalcos, and I've given myself a few days to recover.
