Book IV · My Home Is the Road · Chapter 26 of 127
when I go somewhere
Read
When I walk somewhere, especially where there are few people, or somewhere in mountainous terrain on the way to some ruins, I often do one simple exercise – I feel myself soldered into the Earth's core, as if a column of unceasing light emanates from there and passes through me along a vertical axis. The planet is spherical, so it doesn't matter where I am – the column of light passes through me equally well. And the stronger the feeling of being soldered into the Earth's core, the more intensely this light flows through me...
