the AirBNB host screwed me over again 🤯 Same old story
Once again, the Airbnb host flipped me over 🤯 Same as last month – didn't reply to my messages. And once again, Airbnb helped me out – paid me a 50% compensation that arrived exactly a day later 💸 and also gave me a coupon for 50% of the cost, which I immediately used to book another place.
I have to say, everything turned out as well as it always does 🌈 – when I booked the last place, I didn't notice there was no wi-fi, which I vitally need since I work online. I would've had to use mobile data, which can be slow or spotty in some spots here.
Today I found new proof for myself that the world really does take care of us when we're free from self-pity and calmly ready to accept the worst possible outcome.
My attitude toward everything now is humility and a basic readiness for the worst, paired with an intention for the best.
I believe that readiness for the worst frees us from fear – it's through this that true peace is possible; without readiness for the worst, humility can't be called balanced or complete, instead it becomes neurasthenic with elements of craving and aggression, which of course leaves a certain imprint on your mirror, through which the world reads you.
Right now I'm staying here (photo). I'm thinking about swimming a bit – the day was unusually hectic 💧 – and then maybe I'll take a walk around the neighborhood, like I usually do when I find myself in a new city. 🌆
Greetings from the sunny city of Mérida
(Yucatán – finally, I love Yucatán),
