Book IV · My Home Is the Road · Chapter 97 of 127
homeland is a mother, she owes us nothing, she already gave us everything
Read
Homeland is a Mother, she owes us nothing, she has already given us everything. Grown-up sons take care of and help their mothers, but never demand from them what they themselves ought to do. And they do not shift onto her tender shoulders the responsibility for their own weaknesses, ungratefully saying that she failed to give them something.
In this difficult time, it has become necessary to define the concepts – what Homeland, Fatherland, duty, honor, dignity are. And, as it seems to me, the best explanation is given by the deeply respected Vitaly Vladimirovich Sundakov in the videos attached to this post. I recommend watching.
