But it was not to be... I knew it was everywhere... It lies in wait at every turn, I wasn't ready to believe I'd make it to Baku until the very last moment, until I actually got there. And I was right... They turned me away at boarding – the vaccine had run out. Three days ago... Though, I had EpiVacCorona, and Azerbaijan requires Sputnik. So my vaccine wouldn't have helped me anyway.

And why did I even get it? What the hell is the point of this shot if it doesn't save you from bureaucratic headaches? Absolutely useless crap for naive people who want to outsmart the system just in case, but the system is usually a step ahead, and it's not so easy to avoid its claws.

My reason for getting vaccinated was one – a round-the-world trip. I wanted to spare myself in advance from all that need to waste my precious time on all sorts of worthless tests and so on, when there might simply be no time for it. Got the shot and sleep easy – that's what I thought back then. But it all turned out differently. Holy naivety...

Besides, there are different vaccines – one place needs one kind, another place needs another. If the vaccine isn't universal, it's useless. And countries still haven't learned to negotiate with each other, at least on the basis of meta-values, alas. Just one big pile of politics, in this case disguised as concern for citizens' health. Does anyone actually care about that? Without ulterior motives, sincerely? Are governments ready to set aside their egoism and finally do something together, jointly?

In Mexico, the government is more reasonable in this regard and from the very beginning didn't go out of its way to throw a wrench in the works. But the Azeri show-offs (I don't mean the regular people, by the way) wanted both a PCR test and a vaccine this whole time. You see, one thing wasn't enough for them. Now only the vaccine is required. Strange info on the internet – it says restrictions have been lifted. But it turns out the vaccine is still needed, only the PCR isn't. They act like this isn't Azerbaijan but some UAE. As if everyone is dying to get there so badly you couldn't drag them away by the ears... ))
